The 44th ACS Central Regional Meeting

Call for Award Nominations

Nominations are requested for the following awards to be presented at the 2013 CERM Meeting, May 15-17, 2013 at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan during the awards ceremony on May 16th:

  • ACS Division of Chemical Education (CHED) Region Award for Excellence in High School Teaching
  • E. Ann Nalley Regional Award for Volunteer Service to the American Chemical Society
  • Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences

 

The Central Region of the ACS consists of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia which includes the following local sections: Akron, Central Ohio Valley, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Erie, Huron Valley, Indiana, Indiana-Kentucky Border, Kanawha Valley, Michigan State University, Midland, Northeastern Indiana, Northeastern Ohio, Northwest Central Ohio, Penn-Ohio Border, Pittsburgh, Southern Indiana, Toledo, Upper Ohio Valley, Western Michigan, Wooster.

 

 

Deadline for submissions: March 18, 2013

(Deadline for Stanley C. Israel Award is March 15, 2013)

 

If you know of a deserving candidate for the Excellence in High School Teaching, E. A. Nalley, or, S.C. Israel award, please submit the requested criteria as a PDF to our nominations committee at the address given below (with the exception of the S.C. Israel Award which is submitted online). Additional letters of support for the candidate are desirable. Email submissions are preferred.
